Grammar Rules

Conjunction وَ (and)
وَلَئِنْ (And verily, if) starts with وَ, the most common Arabic word — it means "and".
We add "and" to connect this to what came before.
Emphatic لَ (indeed)
وَلَئِنْ (And verily, if) starts with لَ for emphasis — it's like saying "indeed!" or "certainly!".
We add "indeed" or "certainly" to show the emphasis.
Conditional (if/when)
وَلَئِنْ (And verily, if) introduces a condition — "if this happens, then that happens".
We translate it as "if" or "when".

Sahih International

And if We let him taste mercy from Us after an adversity which has touched him, he will surely say, "This is [due] to me, and I do not think the Hour will occur; and [even] if I should be returned to my Lord, indeed, for me there will be with Him the best." But We will surely inform those who disbelieved about what they did, and We will surely make them taste a massive punishment.
